Dear Grandma

Does time of a lost one hear us or even remember
our love for her? We hope she can hear this.

Each of us are now grown, we take turns reading our memories
of you, we think our teardrops you can never miss.

Always first we thank you for having our mother so that we could
meet you, then we thank God for creating you from His heart.

Remember when we were little? You held on to us, each on one knee, kissing our foreheads, kisses for two butterflies never to take us apart.

Giving us presents on Christmas was easy; looking at your big, bright teardrops fall was not, yet not as big as ours when we hugged you.

Remember as you tucked us in at night with a story was special. In our dreams we asked God never to take you away, always we would do.

As kids, right and wrong was hard to hold in our small minds, so you
would remind us so much, your words still surround us till this day.

Now spoil us is a right given away only to Grandmas, so treats
were special. Our treat was you, miss it now since you are away.

Distance is long but we feel if we hold out our hands to the clouds,
touch them you will to remind us love is good, never to end.

Maybe we read what we wrote every year to you in hope that when it is our time, you will remember us, these words are our beacons of love we send.

All of us die; it’s what you do in life that continues on. We lay our message on your resting place with two fresh red roses, waiting for when.
